Friesland College
Friesland College is a Regional Training Centre (ROC) for secondary vocational education (VET) and adult education. Every year about 9,000 students follow a course: 7,500 follow a VET course which lasts three to four years, and 1,500 follow short-term courses which can last from a few days to six months to one year. Staff (teachers and supporting staff) : approximately 1200. Friesland College is an open educational institution with respect for all religions and cultures in society. Friesland College is involved with and listens to its students; has a passion for teaching and is innovative. Students can choose from a wide variety of courses, job opportunities, facilities and activities at Friesland College. These are provided throughout the province of Friesland by a teaching and support staff of 1200 persons. They are active in several locations, the largest two being located in Leeuwarden and Heerenveen which are in Friesland, the north of The Netherlands. Friesland College is a VET school in which a lot of disciplines of the field of work are taught. The main idea behind our educational approach is that we want students to ‘act’ and ‘reflect’ on their activities and experiences. This, to our opinion, is the best bases for the next step. We encourage our students to explore and discover their own way of coming to the solution. This also means allowing room for mistakes and vulnerability to accept these mistakes to ultimately grow and learn from them. Thus, our credo is: “Let’s make better mistakes tomorrow”!

Learning Hub Friesland
Internationalisation is a crucial response to the demands to develop graduates who possess adequate skills, knowledge and attributes to engage and perform in a globalised and intercultural world. By learning international competences, students are better qualified for an increasingly global labour market. This does not only benefit students who want to go abroad. In their own country too, students will have to deal with contexts in which international knowledge and skills are needed. Learning Hub Friesland supports all activities that are aimed at bringing together schools, students and teachers with different views, cultures and educational systems in order to better understand and appreciate one another and enrich one’s own culture.
Friese Poort
ROC Friese Poort is a denominational institution of secondary vocational education and training (VET) in the Dutch provinces of Friesland and Flevoland. The institution is a vital link in the education of approximately 15.050 students and 1650 staff members. It offers vocational education at its locations in Leeuwarden/Dokkum, Drachten, Sneek and Emmeloord/Urk. In addition, the institution offers education courses and made-to-measure courses for individual adults and companies. Study programs are offered in technology, maritime studies, business and administration, health and social care, engineering, ICT, trade (international wholesale), beauty and wellness.
Municipality Of Leeuwarden
Gemeente Leeuwarden (Municipality of Leeuwarden) is a government body, located in the centre of the province of Friesland. It is the capital of the province and has a population of around 122.000 inhabitants. The Municipality has a vast network in the region, being part of many collaborations between different levels of government as well as knowledge institutes, being closely linked to businesses within and outside its region, and by taking responsibility for the well-being of the region and its inhabitants. The organisation of the Municipality consists of over 1.200 civil servants, officials and employees. Its activities vary from social work to infrastructure, from education to marketing, and much more. The region is known for its strong triple helix: businesses, universities and government cooperate in close collaboration.
Meath County Council
Meath County Council (MCC) is a statutory body, tasked with delivering quality services to the communities of County Meath. With over 500 staff, MCC has been unrelenting in pursuing new ideas, policies, strategies and solutions in order to ensure improved efficiencies and cost savings are achieved. The Council operates the Local Enterprise Office (LEO) whose specific emphasis is job creation through enterprise. At both national and local level, the indigenous micro-enterprise and small business sector is central to economic recovery, job creation and the future development of the Irish economy.
Dundalk Institute Of Technology
Dundalk Institute of Technology (DkIT) has earned its reputation as the leading higher education provider in the North Leinster-South Ulster region of Ireland through its first-class teaching and learning, research and engagement. Set in a state-of-the-art 87 acres campus. DkIT provides quality learning and teaching to circa 5,480 students across four Schools in Business and Humanities, Health and Science, Engineering and Informatics and Creative Arts at undergraduate and postgraduate degrees from Level 6 to PhD level, in addition to its track record of excellence in apprenticeships. DkIT also has a remit to support regional development a commitment that is evident from the 1600+ entrepreneurs, 320+ applied research projects and 205+ knowledge based start-ups that it has supported, via its campus based innovation hub, the Regional Development Centre since 1989. With significant interest in entrepreneurship education DkIT embedded entrepreneurship modules in all non-business schools 2015. This initiative resulted in DkIT being recognised in 2016 by the OECD as a best practice exemplar for enterprise education in Ireland. DkIT also became national winner of the European Enterprise Promotion Awards in 2017 that focused on nurturing student entrepreneurship.
Newry & Mourne Co-Operative And Enterprise Agency
Newry & Mourne Co-operative and Enterprise Agency (NMEA) was established in 1972 with the primary objective of promoting jobs and creating wealth in the Newry & Mourne area. Newry and Mourne Enterprise Agency, which was the first Enterprise Agency to be established in Northern Ireland, has evolved into a diverse organisation offering a wide range of services to its clients. NMEA is a member of Enterprise Northern Ireland, the association of Enterprise Agencies in Northern Ireland. Newry and Mourne Co-operative and Enterprise Agency delivers a wide range of supports to aspiring entrepreneurs and established businesses and provides industrial and office spaces in five centres. Newry & Mourne Co-operative Ltd launched the “Work in Newry” (WIN) campaign in 1975 in an attempt to alleviate the chronic unemployment which the area had suffered for generations. It took over a recently closed food-processing factory site to create starter workspace units for unemployed and underemployed people. This was one of the first community owned and managed workspace projects in Europe.
KSPMC
Kaunas vocational training centre is a public institution, with 1,900 students and 90 teachers. Its main activity is primary and continuous vocational training, specialties construction, social nursing, special needs students, adult training. The organization aims to become a modern institution, responding to challenges of globalization, European integration, and promoting the attractiveness of vocational training to all target groups. Teachers develop their own qualifications, creating new teaching curricula and materials. They want to increase the professional and vocational level in society and amongst young people and increase the chances of young enterprises by offering knowledge and role models. The institution has broad experience in working with different target groups to combat school dropouts and youth unemployment through increasing the entrepreneurial skills of young people and training in adult education.
Barcelona Chamber Of Commerce
The Barcelona Chamber of Commerce (BCC) is a government-owned entity founded in 1886. Its function is to defend general business interests and advocate and promote economic activity. By providing services and consultancy as well as organising events that encourage business competitiveness it supports a sustainable local development. As cross-sectoral representational institution it groups together economic operators from all sectors, including self-employed, entrepreneurs, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and corporations from the city of Barcelona and the outlying areas. BCC is also committed to boost entrepreneurship, especially among youngsters and women, it offers training and employment programmes focused on the mentioned target groups. It promotes and participates in the creation Dual Vocational Traineeships, where the students undergo their formative trainings both in educative centres and in companies belonging to their fields of study. As a government-owned legal corporate entity, the BCC collaborates with public administrations and has remits and administrative public functions attributed to it by law, independently of those delegated to it by public authorities.
EDUCEM
In 1942 Esteve Duran created the Centre of Commercial Education (CEM), back then there were 103 students of secondary education and VET. In 1965 Anna M. Duran became the director and a new pedagogy was introduced, the concept was that each child is an individual, with different skills and ways of expressing him/herself, the teacher’s task is to observe how they interact, learning is the result of experimentation. In 1970 CEM merged to another centre and became EDUCEM, new studies were introduced: preschool and primary education. In 1990 Baccalaureate started to be taught as well, thus all the education system is taught at our school. Currently, the centre Educem is led by the third generation: Anna Comas as the director of the compulsory stages and Mercè Comas of the post-compulsory stages. The ideology of the school has always been a school open to anyone, humanist and motivational, where teachers help students discover their vocation, acting as guides and helping them find their way. We also highlight our work to promote the integral training of the person: the human side, the values, the know-how and the achievement of the challenges that each student proposes. Nowadays there are over 850 students in Educem studying Preschool, Primary and Secondary Education, Baccalaureate, but specially VET: Pharmacy, Administrative Management, IT and Childhood Education both in person and online.
