Today we had a terrific Giggin\u2019 Policy event at the Leeuwarden Kanselarij bringing together youths and policy makers to discuss the #GigEconomy<\/a> and policies surrounding this new form of work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After a typical Dutch lunch, the participants had an introduction to the Giggin\u2019 Policy project by Erna van der Werff and Paula Bijvoets . Next, guest speaker Aukje van der Veen from Claim Your Future<\/a> shared her perspective as a gigger. This was followed by round table discussions in <\/a>the form of role-play where participants took on the role of a (future) gigger, large employer, policy maker, or consumer. The role play was an interesting way to highlight the pros and cons of the gig economy from different perspectives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
